Robbert Coomans
former Head of Alternative Investments of APG Asset Management
Robbert Coomans has many years of experience in the asset management industry. Mr. Coomans has been involved from the beginning of Alternative Investments at APG Asset Management, one of the world’s largest pension funds managing assets of approximately EUR 340 billion (as of 2013). Within Alternative Investments Robbert Coomans has been responsible for Private Equity, Infrastructure and Hedge Funds investments. As Advisor to the Board of APG, Robbert is still involved in APG’s infrastructure and other large-scale investment decisions. Prior to APG Asset Management, he spent more than 13 years in the United Arab Emirates with Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Abu Dhabi Investment Council as Head of Asset Management. Furthermore, Mr. Coomans is a member of the advisory board of FinEdge and their subsidiaries RiskTec and Energy Global..
Dr. Edgar Meister
former Executive of Deutsche Bundesbank
Dr. rer. pol. h. c. Edgar Meister has many years of top-level experience in the finance sector. After his time at Bank für Gemeinwirtschaft he became Executive Board Member of Deutsche Pfandbriefanstalt in Wiesbaden. From 1991 until 1993 he was Finance Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate (Rheinland-Pfalz). After his political career Dr. Meister was a Member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt / Main for 14 years with responsibility for banking supervision and financial stability. During his time at Deutsche Bundesbank Dr. Meister received the honorary doctorate of the University of Lüneburg (Dr. rer. pol. h. c.) in 2004 and the 1st Class Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2006. Dr. Meister holds a law degree from the University of Marburg.
Dr. Georg Obermeier
former CEO of VIAG AG (now E.ON AG)
Dr. Obermeier has many years of experience in the energy industry. During his time as a member of the Board of VIAG AG (now E.ON AG) from 1989 to 1998 (from 1995 onwards as chairman), the company grew to become one of the largest industrial and service corporations in Germany. From 1999 to 2001, Dr. Georg Obermeier was CEO of RHI AG, a global company and market leader in the production of refractory materials. Dr. Georg Obermeier studied Business Administration and received a doctorate from the University of Munich.
Rainer Schnetzer
former Executive at Vereinte Versicherung (now Allianz SE)
Rainer Schnetzer has many years of senior management experience in the insurance industry. He was a Board Member at Vereinte Versicherung AG (now Allianz SE) and the Iduna Nova Group for many years. Rainer Schnetzer then took on a role as Partner at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he advised leading insurers and reinsurers in the implementation of growth strategies, IT transformation and post-merger integration. Rainer Schnetzer has a Diploma in Business Administration and studied Business Administration and Computer Science at the University of Nürnberg-Erlangen.
Christoph Urban
former CFO of Siemens UK
Christoph Urban has many years of management experience from his time at Siemens AG and most recently as CFO of Siemens plc in London. He was a member of the Board of Koç Holding, Turkey's leading group of companies with an annual turnover of around USD 39.5 billion. Christoph Urban was Chairman of the British-German Association and is a regular guest speaker at the London School of Economics (LSE) and Koç University in Istanbul.
